Conflict Resolution
Often, a team or organization has “sleeping dogs” – unresolved conflicts that everyone tiptoes around carefully. In most cases, organizational sleeping dogs should NOT be left to lie long-term, as this approach can seriously impede organizational results.
Working through these issues requires a facilitator who will NOT impose strict ground rules in an attempt to keep everyone (especially the facilitator!) from experiencing anxiety. Rather, the skilled facilitator will accept the anxiety as a normal part of working through conflict and help guide the group through the discomfort to some form of resolution.
