Teams exist for one purpose and one purpose only. To achieve BETTER RESULTS than any one of its members could have achieved working alone. (Sadly, many teams only outperform the AVERAGE performance of team members working separately – perfectly okay, unless you happen to be in the top-performing half!).

So it stands to reason that the goal for ANY team building or team development should be to help the group develop the relationships and routines that lead to synergistic functioning.

I will custom-design a session to do just that, based on your team’s current stage of development, level of functioning, history and challenges. Sometimes the focus needs to be on fun activities that help team members get to know one another better. Sometimes the focus should be on developing group norms, working through issues of mistrust, or developing a template for conducting more effective team meetings. I’ll help you diagnose the specific outcomes needed from your 1- or 2-day session and develop and conduct a teaming session that yields real results.
